Andres Tapia, CAMS
Senior Risk Management Consultant

Andres Tapia, CAMS, has 15 years of financial service experience working with community banks ranging in asset size from $1 billion to large regional banks of up to $125 billion. He has managed retail and compliance teams and experience in retail banking, private banking, fraud, physical security and BSA/AML compliance. Additionally, he has started banking divisions and a De-Novo Bank.

Prior to joining Banker’s Toolbox, he used his bilingual skills to manage multiple groups of compliance analysts and investigators at a financial institution along the US-Mexico border. During this time, he gained experience with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, consent orders, lookback projects, High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas, High-Intensity Financial Crime Areas and creating and motivating efficient teams. Andres is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).
